Meet the Team
Having examined the worrying trends in the fitness industry, and frustrated with the prevalence of issues clients had relating to their self esteem and poor relationship with fitness and food. Ciaran and Karen began to combine their professions collectively and work locally as a team. Seeing first-hand the success and benefit that combining together made led to the creation of The True North Project.
With this vision, she has worked with a varied client base, who work together with Karen to reach solutions as a team. Karen works in many areas of mental health such as depression, anxiety, life motivation, work stress and bullying, low self-esteem and confidence, bereavement, and Self- Harm. A main area of focus for Karen developed, when working with individuals with issues in relation to food and eating disorders.
She has gained experience and a passion working with individuals who are in recovery from eating disorders or simply have a poor relationship with food.
“Using a supportive and warm atmosphere, I guide the client to create structure while allowing them to develop new coping strategies, make lasting changes and become mentally stronger, that can be maintained and used outside of therapy and throughout all fascists of life. You simply can’t use the same process for every client which is why I include all aspects of lifestyle in therapy in order to reach optimum health and happiness.”
After starting his career in various gyms and fitness clubs he eventually went out on his own in 2013 and set up 360 Fitness.
Ciaran’s vision when setting up 360 Fitness was to provide exceptional fitness and nutritional advice for his clients. He strongly believes that for a healthy body & mind and to achieve one’s goals, the client must work on both elements, however with the support of a committed coach. Ciaran’s coaching ability helps his clients develop and achieve sustainable habits for life.
“In today’s society I find too many people focus on short-term quick results when it comes to their health & fitness. I have seen from working with hundreds of clients that this can be detrimental to their success. The key is patience and persistence with a proper plan in place and in many cases having a good coach in you corner to nurture and motivate you through the journey to build sustainable habits for you”
From modest beginnings back in May 2013 Ciaran has grown his fitness business and client base and is now delighted to be part of the True North team where he can offer his knowledge and expertise to a wider audience.
